Isabelle was a trooper for Christmas. Barely sleeping two hours the entire day, she rarely fussed or cried. True, she didn’t smile too much, but that is to be expected having to wear tights, a dress and black shoes.
Grandparents and Great-grandparents were very generous – too generous. Isabelle must have been a VERY good girl.
Here’s what she’s learned to do this past week:
-hold onto her foot
-reaching for things with both hands very well now

Since before Thanksgiving Isabelle has not been quite herself. Shes at the stage where she is fussy and grunts if she wants something. Either she’s teething again OR she’s on the verge of hitting another plateau – crawling. She’s probably frustrated that she can’t move to where she wants.
Isabelle now weighs 14 pounds and is 24 1/4 inches.
Here’s what she’s learned to do these past few weeks:
-lift herself in a crawling position
-lift herself up on her toes and hands very successfully
-sitting pretty well on her own, with slight help
-reaching for things with both hands
-holding onto things with both hands
-giggle or smile on own
-starting to notice her feet (as of the past week)
-pulling foot towards mouth (12.21.04)

The past few weeks are a blur. Isabelle developed her first fever/cold before Thanksgiving. For 2 weeks it has been rough going here in the Cooney household. At the tail end of the cold, Isabelle got her first 2 teeth, adding to her misery.
Life is back to normal here, with her cheerful wonderful self adding to our lives.
Here’s what she’s learned to do these past few weeks:
-sucking her bottom lip in and out
-lift herself up on her toes and hands
-sucking her thumb outside of the cradle(new as of 12.8.04)
-2 new bottom teeth (12.3.04)
-go into a sitting position from being inclined
-squeeling
-likes crinkling paper
