Jack is six weeks old now. He’s still fussy after he eats, but is slowly mellowing out. He has differentiated between night and day, although he still wakes up at least 4 times a night.
Jack is continually gaining weight. He’s enormous. We increased the size of diapers, bu already they do not fit. Soon he’ll be wearing Bella’s size diaper.
Isabelle: had a terrific Easter with all her cousins. She mastered the art of collecting eggs and wants to play now every day.
New words: Baby; Uh oh!; No; Up;

Weight: 11lbs 10oz
Length: 22 inches
Jack is four weeks old now. Our sleepy baby is no longer sleepy. While he’s awake he cries – especially after feedings. He does not like to be held on the shoulder or upright. He does not like the bouncy seat. He does not like to be cradled.
When he sleeps though, he is a sound sleeper. I keep him downstairs in a port-a-crib during the day with all the noise. He is also sleeping in a big crib now, as the cradle was getting to be too much for me (bending down and such).
Jack is a bit better about distinguishing day and night, although I still get up between 4 and 5 times a night to nurse.
Can I say that Jack is real snuggily? Well…not especially when awake. BUT when he’s asleep he’s like an angel – and a large one at that.
Today he got weighed at the pediatricians. He now weighs 11lbs 10oz!!! He is also 22 inches long. He’s 95 percentile for weight and 75 percentile for height. he’s a big boy. It’s no wonder since i’m nursing so much.
Isabelle: still loves her brother, though starting acting out a bit with mom. She’s a quite a bit more needy too.
She experienced her first REAL sickness last week. She got a severe stomach flu where was throwing up every twenty minutes. She first got sick in her crib, then lasted all night. Mike took care of her the entire time because I had ot care for Jack. It was one of the worst nights I’ve ever experienced.
It took a week for her to recover appetite and attitude. Today, after a week and a half, our happy little girl returned.
Parents: how are we doing? Fine, except for being tired. We go to bed at 8:30 now.
