We just had our first huge snowstorm of the season – 12″ of light perfect snow. Isabelle loved being out in it.

She is walking all the time now. With each day she improves her speed. She attempts to climb things, especially the couch, but she is still unable to do it. He small height is much of the problem, definitely not determination.

Yesterday she took a first step up a stair without crawling. She held onto the wall and stepped up. Quite a feat.

Her vocabulary is limited. Doggie, Ma Ma, and Da Da. Kitty got dropped at some point. She makes up in communication with pointing and using her few signs (sign-language) we taught her. Her “all done” sign is very clear. Oh, and shaking her head NO is clear as well.

Isabelle loves to take off her slippers and try to put on her socks and shoes herself. Many times she’ll put on our large shoes and boots.

Bella still loves her knitted soldier doll and can’t sleep without it. She rubs the string around his neck, and sucks her thumb. Often she holds him while she walks around the house. Since he’s as tall as she, it’s quite a scene

When I say, “let’s go for a walk” Isabelle goes to the door and either gets her boots or coat. She loves the outdoors. Must be the Larrivee in her.

Bella has a best friend called Viola. They are the same age, and so similar in movements, they look like twins. They’re now at the age where they are taking toys from one another.

Baby-to-be (due 3.20.06)

For those who don’t know, I’m pregnant. I am now 27 weeks along and definitely showing. This time around, I’m much bigger, probably due to eating the wrong things. Someone told me at a party last night that I must be due soon, and with chagrin I told her I had 3 months to go. I’m more tired with this baby, and not as comfortable as before, probably due to chasing Isabelle around. The baby is moving a lot most of the time. No – we have not found out the sex of the baby.

What Bella likes to do:
-play on couch
-taking off slippers and trying to put back her socks (sometimes our boots/shoes)
-pick out our clothes and shoes, and identify them by saying “mama?” or “dada”
-making herself fake cry
– run around saying “rahhhh!” like a lion
-“mama” or “dada” in a soft voice
-hugging our legs
-sucking thumb in crib with Mr. Soldier (her stuffed toy); hugging him
-playing with her jewelry can
-playing with kitty using her necklaces
-finding her or our bellys (presses face against belly
-giving lots of hugs
-favorite toy: guiness
