February 2007

We got another beautiful snow fall the other day. Everything is coated in crisp, white snow. Each day Bella and I attempt to get out. She loves to climb all the snow mountains.

Jack: what to say about this boy? He’s a funny one. When he’s in a good mood he’s so funny. He’ll giggle and laugh and coo. When he’s angry, he clenches his hands and grunts loudly, face getting red. For the past month he has mostly been in a sweet phase

No sleepign his naps. He’ll cry for 2.5 hours before falling asleep. Stubborn!

accomplishments:
-1.07: pulling self up to standing
~2.07: walking along items, while holding on.
-2.23.07: clapping hands
-2.22.07: crawling up stairs
-2.24.07: said NO

Isabelle: Isabelle has shifted back again into her sweet self. For so long she would screech and run away from Jack saying he was going to get her, or she would hit me and say “no mommy”. Now she seems more calm, more willing to play with Jack, saying please and thank you, giving toys to jack to play..etc.

She now quite often says “I love you Daddy or Mommy” of her own will. She also is much more snuggly. She has never been a cuddily, huggy person.

Isabelle’s favorite pasttime now is reading stories (or hories, as she says it). She will sit book after book while we read to her OR she’ll go play with the books herself for 1/2 hour, just flipping through pages and talking to herself. She devours them. She’s also impressed us with the skill that she can finish sentences/poem lines/song lines in any book. Even if we’ve only read it once.

Sayings/New words:
-ditty=kitty
-this is?=what’s this?
-just 2 minutes=2 more minutes to play? (got this one from me.
-do do = thank you
-hories= stories

Snow has finally arrived. Isabelle played much of the morning outside, and though we only got 4 inches, she had terrific time sliding, building mountains, and just having creative fun.
