Bella is starting to eat solids. We started with rice cereal, then bananas and apple juice, which she did not care for. Next came oatmeal, which she loves!
Some Isabelle accomplishments and habits:
-sitting without help (first time 1.18.05)
-pull herself forward and in 180 degree circle (mastered it this past week)
-feed self with help of mom
-giggle when changed.
-smile lots

Isabelle is six months old today! This past week Bella has been attempting to get over her cold. The runny nose is a constant thing. She’s also drooling like a faucet now – but no new teeth.
What she loves to do:
-sitting without help (first time 1.18.05)
-talk loudly in baby talk, especially while chewing on something
-playing with tupperware and jar covers
-rock back and forth on hands and knees, especially in crib to make it squeek
-scratch material with pattern
-watch self in mirror

Another cold has hit! I got one last weekend and gave it to Isabelle. Luckily it’s minor, although it keeps her awake most of the time. She’s drooling a lot, so maybe this is an indication that her top teeth are coming in.
What she loves to do:
-kick legs while someone carries her
-hold toes with hand
-make noise, grunt while nursing
-smile lots
-talk loudly in baby talk
-squeel
-rock back and forth on hands and knees, especially in crib to make it squeek
-put anything and everything in mouth
-grab anything
-pet cat or watch her
-arch back completly in backbend after nursing
-rub foreheads with me when tired

Last night Isabelle slept for the first time in her crib. She has been napping there up until now, but at night she has continued to sleep in the cradle. Finally, we took the big jump and pried her out of the cradle. No tears even!
Here’s what she’s learned to do this past week:
-rock back and forth on hands and knees
-babble
-reach for anything and everything
