Well Bella celebrated her first birthday with cake and a family party. She loved the cake of course being her first REAL sweet to eat. We sang happy birthday and she and her Nona blew out the candle.
We’re living through the last few molars. Each day she’s either up or down depending on the pain. Yesterday she was chipper, smiling and laughing and so talkative.
Mostly Isabelle is still a social girl. The more people around the better – especially kids.
What Bella likes to do:
-play on bed
-climb couch
-climb stairs
-sharing toys
it’s my birthday!
I’m 1 year today!

One year ago at 9:25am Bella was born. Hard to believe that a year has passed.
Molar #3 has arrived (bottom left)
I’m breastfeeding now just once a day in the morning. Last week Bella gave it up herself for a few nights, and though she was teething I decided to continue with the pattern. It’s sad, and very freeing at the same time. Mike now can put her to bed alone.
Bella uses the “sign” for “drink” all the time. It’s very useful. I also think she is developing the sign for “all done”
She babbles all the time and every day it sounds more and more like sentences or words. She also understands more too and follows commands.
Bella has been very funny lately. She does all sorts of things that are cute funny. One example is sitting on the bed or couch and then throwing herself backwards. She’ll do it over and over iwth a silly grin on her face. You know she is going to do it because she gets a twinklle in her eye, and a grin.
This past week we stayed at my parents for the whole week while the apartment stairs were being sanded. We had a relaxing time and Bella was at her most flirtatious.
What Bella likes to do:
-play on couch or bed – sit then throw/fall backwards
-climb couch
– yell “A Da” or “Da” all the time
-climb stairs
-sharing toys
-bella feeding Mike or I
-“Give me five”

BELLA IS ALMOST A YEAR!
The stairs are still Bella’s obsession. I have to make sure the gate is always up.
Molar #2 has arrived (left top)
I’m breastfeeding now just once a day in the morning. Last week Bella gave it up herself for a few nights, and though she was teething I decided to continue with the pattern. It’s sad, and very freeing at the same time. Mike now and put her to bed completely alone.

The stairs have become Isabelle’s obsession. She now crawls away from me and rushes up the stairs, giggling.
Bella has been a bit off this week. Mostly it’s the molars coming in.
I’ve dropped another feeding this past week. I’m down to two – the morning and night. Isabelle has even seemed to relinquish the night one at times, so I wouldn’t be surprised that this one will go too.
Bella really loves being around and playing with Mike. If he leaves the room, she follows or starts to cry.
Mike and I have been attempting to show bella some “Signs”. I think that she has finally picked up “Drink”. She motions with her hand.
