The weather is just starting to change. It’s a bit warmer now after that wonderful stretch of cold and beautiful snow. Mike, Isabell and I have loved playing in it building forts and sliding on the snow mountains.
Jack just celebrated his 1st birthday. Hard to believe that already a year has gone by. I can honestly say that I would not like to repeat this year at all and I’m glad it’s over.
We had a rousing party yesterday. Jack celebrated by crying and being a bit sullen with all the people. By the end of the party he was his almost charming self.
He just had 1st year visit.
Weight: 24lbs 11oz
Length: 29.5 inches
Stuff going on with jack: naps getting a bit better; big for his age, LOVES bella, will play peek a boo, still doesn’t sleep enough, but getting better.
When jack crawls, he puts up right arm and slaps it down, like he’s high-stepping.
I took jack off his acid-reflux medicine a month ago. Thank goodness he seems ok.

Isabelle’s vocabulary is ever increasing. She’s talking so much that she jumbles over the words and it’s hard to understand her at times. It’s great to see her struggle and think on the correct words to use.
Bella is very in tune to our feelings. Any time I’m frustrated or angry, Isabelle will say “mommy?” or “me ok mommy”. So sweet with her little voice that it’s difficult to remain angry.
She is also quite affectionate now. She often gives hugs or wants one returned. She loves to snuggle and cuddle. So strange from the girl who never wanted to be hugged.
Bella also LOVES reading stories or being read to. She could sit for hours. Somehow she has become fixated on the walt disney books we have. Ughh…they get tedious after a while.
food: we had a 2 week period where Isabelle ate like a horse. She tried everything we gave her. All she would say is “this?”, meaning what’s this?
She is less afraid of Jack. I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. She’s lets him near her and doesn’t constantly cry “baby get me”. I can almost visualize them playing together soon. Ahhh…
