Bella saw her first parade today. Albeit small, she enjoyed the short Lenox Memorial Day parade. After weeks of rain and cold, the sun finally burst forth with some heat. With both families we celebrated the day here and Isabelle was the life of the party. She even out-talked my dad.
Last week we had our first major catastrophe with Bella. While pushing her in a VERY loaded cart (at HomeDepot), I hit a bump and the cart tipped over. Isabelle and the cart fell over, and she landed face first in the pavement with the cart tumbling on her. Except for some major scrapes and big tears, she was all right! We thought for sure she would be bruised all over the left side of her face, but within days she healed. Mike and I are still scarred.
What Bella likes to do:
-pull socks off feet
-talk loudly
-rub face in her blanket
-chase after the cat
-tear up magazines

Bella is still talking her own language. Kitty is still her favorite
In addition to pulling up and down, she is now mastering walking along something.
She has decided to give up her afternoon nap, which makes for a LONG day. I still put her down, but she is up crying or talking most of the time.
Isabelle is VERY active now that she can roll over. Changing diapers has become challenging. She’s on the go ALL the time.
Isabelle still hates baths. What a strange situation. Admittedly I hate giving them.
What Bella likes to do:
-knaw on books.
-investigate everything. remembers her special spots (tupperware drawer, toy chest)
-takes in breath and goes “eehhh” when she laughs
-wrinkle nose when she laughs. entire face crinkles
-crazy girl when she gets her diaper changed
-crawl to the window, look out and pound when I’ve change her on her bed
-run around with no clothes, laughs
-walk along something
-pull and rip magazines
-crouch down on stomach and peek

Bella is now starting to make sounds and words. Her latest is Da Da Da and razing noises. Most of the time she acts very silly with the noises and facial expressions. She makes us laugh all the time.
Bella has just about mastered letting herself down, once she has pulled herslef up. Either she’ll adjust her footing, or put her butt out further and reach to the floor.
She is noticing pictures in books now and really studying them…laughing at the animals. Especially at kitties.
Bella has learned the cause and effect of things. In her SUV toy, she knows to put the ball in the slot, turn the lever and watch the ball slide down the shoot. She also knows how to turn the dials on the Stove.
The other day I gave her broccoli for the first time and she laughed at it.
What Bella likes to do:
-walking along something
-pulling and ripping magazines
-crouch down while and stomach and peek
