Quote of the week: jack “Oh, my gosh!”
Stuff happening: This past month included Spring happenings: yard cleanup, raking, mulching, planting garden, sprouting of seeds, seed starters, etc. Activities exploded: trips to parks, picnics with friends, cookouts, Alford Brook Club stocking, dandelion curls, playing in the rain’, visiting my brother Bob and family, visiting baby animals at Hancock Shaker Village, late mornings, playing in sand box, visits from Memere and Nona, biking, etc.
BIG THINGS: Spring activities, excercising, planting the garden have been the big things happenign this past month. The biggest event was our excursion to visit my bother bob and family in Uxbridge. Outside of our vacations to the Cape, it’s our first time for an overnight anywhere in almost 4 years. We had a marvelous time and the kids were ecstatic being able to play with their cousins.
Isabelle: Suddenly in the past month Isabelle has become extremely attached to me. She cries when she has to go to school and clings to me when I leave. She doesn’t even want Mike to put her to bed! Nothing new has happened so I’m not sure what is going on. Outside of this, she’s cheerful and hip hops arounds in her cute/sweet voice. Skipping, running are some of her favorite things.
Jack: Jack seems to have gained so much weight lately. He seems heavy! Whenever he asks for big hugs (which means lifting him up) I groan. He’s still saying ‘no’ and is now saying WHY all the time because Isabelle is doing the same. He’ll repeat and repeat until you say something and then he’ll say it again.
He’s still going at times on the potty. At least once or twice a day. I’m waiting for a solid week’s worth of warm weather so that I can train him.
WHAT THEY DO:
Isabelle: ‘why?’ ‘why?’ ‘why?’, skip, ride bike, plant seeds, work in yard, pick flowers, asks to help ALL the time; reading to Jack
Jack: helping, picking flowers, playing ball, playing baseball, kicking ball, throwing ball, playing playdo or block.
Words: “right here”, “big hugs” “why??” “no mommy”
