Bella told me she was starving today at lunch time. I’ve never said that word before so I knew she learned it at school. She’s coming out with funny things all the time.

Stuff happening: concerts at Eastover, Thanksgiving, family gatherings, playing in leaves, playing in snow, eating snow, gathering with friends, visits to the library, flu shots, etc.

Mike is hunting this week. I’m excited for him, but always a bit jealous that he gets time alone in the woods, in a cozy cabin. No deer as of yet. I’m wiping the kids hands constantly, in desperate hopes that they will not get more sicknesses.

Both kids are napping great! Two hours in the afternoon. What a luxury to have it happen at the same time. The first time ever.

Just found out my brother and family from Holland are visiting next summer! So excited. I’m trying to get better at putting up family photos around the house. It’s about time.

Isabelle: wants to sing by herself; knows more and more songs; is well adjusted to school; can walk upstairs one after another; likes to eat snow

Jack: loves to dance, is singing too, he knows many songs and can say the last word at the end of a song; does his happy dance; favorite song is EIEIO and Skinamarinkidoo.

These past few weeks have included halloween, a parade, pumpkin carving, dinner with friends, eating at a restaurant, shopping, school, organizing, and dealing with sicknesses, and adjusting to daylight savings. Ugh…it’s so dark!

Halloween was a hoot, except for the fact that Isabelle was terribly sick and Jack on the way of getting sick. The kids went trick or treating for the first time and Bella LOVED the idea of getting candy. We also walked in the kid’s parade. She was a lump in the stroller because of her fever, but overall an enjoyable pasttime with our friends. The best is the pumpkin carving with the kids. Jack in his yellow apron!

Since then we’ve been through another round of colds. The terrible cough is still lingering after 3 weeks and Jack now has an ear infection along with popping the last front tooth. Luckily though the dreary moods have past and the sunshine smiles are out again as of the past few days.

Last night we had our first snow. Just a smattering.
