And a Happy Thanksgiving? Let’s hope so!
sick sick mommy, sick sick Seamus. Constant visits to the doctor for both of us and still do now know what is going on. I’ve had sore throat, swollen glands, and exhaustion. Finally, I’m on antibiotics after a month, but now the allergies have kicked in suddenly.
Seamus has been drulling like mad, swollen tonsils, getting up often at night, irritability, sore throat, snoring, etc. Finally after a month and a half, he’s on antibiotics too, though it’s still not helping with the problem.
Activities for Noember: playing at McCormacks; dinner at the Mathews; Seamus walking; cleaning yard; first snow; final stages of cottage; walks in town; playing on top of barn;

Where did October go?
Activities for October: Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain…just when the foundation is to be formed and poured; Berkshire Botanical Garden Harvest fair; more rain; hike in the woods with the Loves; colds, Jack’s pneumonia and Isabelle’s cough; playing in leaves; garden cleanup; Seamus learning to walk and climbing everythign; getting ready for Halloween; decorating; making decorations; picking out pumpkins; carving pumpkins; mulled cider; watching the Brock Trot with the Loves; biking; jack’s pre-school halloween dressup; carving pumpkins and apple biting with McCormacks; pre-halloween excitement; Halloween; Halloween parade in town; snow; Trick-or-treat in snow/rain; Mike working weekends at cottage; cleanup garden
Seamus became the bloody Jester for Halloween. While waitng for the parade to start, Seamus fell face first on the pavement of the parking lot. He cut his lip and was bleeding everywhere. He really looked like the blood jester.
Activities for November: dinner at the Mathews; coffee with Sue; clean house; Mike working at cottage;
Isabelle: school is going well, although her best little friend has left school be be home-schooled. Isabelle is crushed.
Her reading is really coming along. Suddenly she can really spell out words and is understanding the sounds much more.
Jack: is a total helper. Anytime I ask him to do something, he jumps right up and gets it done. Lately he has become my helper chef. We often will make a dessert or a dinner dish in the morning together while Seamus rests.
Jack is really into playdates lately. He constantly wants to play with Connor or Andy or somebody. He even loves playing with Seamus. The two of them can sit on the floor for an hour playng cars.
Seamus: seamus is walking more and more. He can walk over clothes on the floor and mixes his crawling and walking. He can walk across the room a bit wobbly and is proud of himself in the end.
He loves to climb as well, especially the ladder to the attic, the stairs, the couch, the stool, his highchair. His favorite now is to walk the window seat in the kitchen. It’s his new hangout. He can walk along the seat and climb down. To get up he either yells out “eeehh!” or cries. If he could, he would walk downstairs, instead he scoots on his bum.
He ways bye to everyone and clap when someone say “Yah!”.
He points at things and understands if I say fan, light, wind, Jack, Bella, Kitty.
He’s happiest outside; Inside he talks, and comlains. He has become quite loud.
Finally he got his two eyeteeth. It was a LONG October waiting for those to come out. He was in such pain, always wanting us to hold him. After they broke through he has been his sunny self again.
We think Seamus is now saying “Ja”, like Da, to mean Jack. So cute!! “Wa wa” is water.
Cottage: The cottage is down, foundation and cellar floor complete. Mike is now putting everything together. Landscaping is left. It’s too bad the time, energy and money could not be spent on our house!
