Seamus is 4 months, one day. Amazing. It has been a slightly rough week with him (with the cold and all). But even then, he’s a sweet boy. Just a lot of irregularity in schedule and waking up often.
Seamus just has his 4 month check-up. He weighs a whopping 19lbs! and is 25inches. The doctor says I’m breastfeeding him cream.

Excitement is mounting for Halloween. Jack is going to be Robin Hood and Isabelle has switched from a princess to a pirate ballerina. Seamus will either be a pumpkin or dragon. The costumes are a mishmash from this and that, but they will be cute. The kids can’t wait for trick-or-treating. I only hope they do not get sick before then. The past two years they’ve been sick for the holiday. So I dragged down my sewing machine from the attic and started sewing for the first time in 8 years. I’m making a cape for Jack’s costume. He’s going to be cute.

Isabelle Likes: gathering plants, seeds, flowers. She has a big bucket full of her finds. Hunts and gathers and uses in projects.

Jack Likes: playing with trains. Thomas trains especially. Mike took him to the Gifted Child store to play with their train set. When it was time to go, Jack put up a tantrum of schreeching at the top of his lungs…all the way to the post office and then half-way up our street.

Seamus Likes: smiling, cooing and grabbing. He likes to snuggle into my shoulder and rub his face back and forth.

Much has happened in the past few weeks. Leaves have changed; the weather fluctuated; leaves have fallen; colds come and gone and come again; gathering seeds and flowers; hunting for acorns; picnic at Tanglwood; mike doing roof over apartment (huge project); soccer; ballet; trip to Taft farms; Seamus with first cold; etc. There is never a dull moment.

Quote of the week by Jack: “mommy, why does Seamus have two chins?”
