September 27, 2004 -This past week Isabelle has developed quite a screech. Maybe a temper too?
In the cradle she’s started to suck her fist before falling asleep. While in a sitting position, she attempts to raise her fist to her mouth. Her coordination isn’t quite there, and she hits her cheek, eye, although sometimes hits her mouth. Isabelle does this mostly with her left arm. Will she be a lefty like her mom?
September 21, 2004 – Isabelle is 2 months today. She visited the pediatrician today as well and weighs 11lbs. 4oz. She’s also 22 inches. She received 4 shots which she did NOT like.
Isabelle is still cooing and smiling a great deal.
September 13, 2004 – Isabelle is almost 7 weeks old. She is smiling a lot and has even started laughing a bit, cooing if I sing to her. Since birth she has been able to hold up her head for long periods of time.
She takes mostly after Mike, though I’m seeing a bit of me in her now. Her eyes are definitely Mike’s.
Right now she weighs about 11 pounds and is just now growing out of her newborn clothes. She gets rounder and plumper every day.
September 7, 2004
Isabelle and I just took a walk to town. She was in the front pack, all bright eyed and looking around. By the end of the walk she had fallen asleep.
Breastfeeding is now going along great. It has become a real pleasure for me, although I never realized how much time it takes to do such a task.
Labor Day weekend, 2004
My nieces and nephew are all taken with her. Isabelle seems to also be entranced with my nephew danny.
September 1, 2004
6 week visit to my mid-wife. Everything is ok.
Isabelle is doing quite well. She’s sleeping pretty regularly with 2-3 hours between feedings. Nights are still tough.
She’s smiling a lot and has even started laughing a bit. We love her lots! Oh, and she holds up her head so well and coos if I sing to her.
