The other day I caught her in our palm tree plant. Dirt on the floor, some in her mouth.
She loves crackers, but still won’t take anything to drink other than from a spoon.

The sleep issue is still a work in progress. All last week she slept through the night and this past weekend she woke up and cried for some time. I broke down and fed her last night.
Yesterday it was my birthday. Celebrating it with my family made the day extra special. Kids definitely add lots of laughter. Isabelle’s gift to me was her crawling for the first time perfectly.
Bella has increased the amount of food she eats and is usually a mess by the end of the meal. She has tried crackers this past week and loves them, even though she’s not sure of the texture. With apple juice she makes a sour face.
Bella habits:
-when tired and I’m holding her, she’ll rub my neck and hair, and suck her right thumb
-will suck her thumb when it’s full of food
-will make grunting noises when she wants to nurse
-will drag herself along the floor and then crawl
-will lift herself up on her hands and toes

Isabelle is 6.5 months. She has been sleeping most nights from 7:00pm to 6/7:00am, except for a few nights where she cried again for an hour. After experiencing 7 hours of solid sleep, this hour of crying bothered me more than before.
Bella is now eating solids for breakfast , lunch and dinner. By the end of a meal it’s smeared all over her face, hands and body. She loves carrots and squash, and insists on helping (grabbing spoon). My clean baby is gone.
Unfortunately she does not take either the bottle or sippy-cup. At this rate I’ll be nursing her until she’s 5.
Bella habits:
-when tired and I’m holding her, she’ll rub my neck and hair, and suck her right thumb
-hold onto spoon while eating, and put hand in mouth while chewing food.
-squeel for an hour in the crib
-make high pitched sounds
-go after cat
-has become an expert of dragging herself along the floor.
-will amuse herself in her ‘SUV’ toy vehicle.

Last night Bella slept for 12 hours straight!! The first time ever. The night before we let her cry for 40 minutes at 4:30am and she slept for 7 hours straight (fed her at 10:30 pm). Kudos for Isabelle who has been waking mommy for 6 months at least twice a night.
